“Kevin, they won’t release him from jail. I heard that the Pendletons and Quills are putting pressure on
this.
Kevin felt an immense headache. He rubbed his temples and asked, “Alright, I understand. Can you
please get more details?”
“Sure.”
Esther asked anxiously, “What did the lawyer say?”
Kevin replied, “The lawyer said Bradley can’t be released on medical parole for now.”
“What should we do? His condition is so serious…”
Kevin reassured, “Esther, you don’t have to worry about these things. Focus on taking care of your own
health. Leave the rest to me.”
Esther momentarily fell silent. “What if I ask my uncle for help?” she asked.
