Chapter 258 Stay with Me

Hulda and David went to Henry’s house. It was already dawn at this time, and they saw Henry coming

out of the house, ready to drive to the company.

The two hurried forward and stopped in front of Henry’s car.

When Henry saw two people rushing out of the front of the car, he stepped on the brakes quickly, and

made a harsh “squeak“.

“Are you crazy?” Henry was in shock. He stuck his head out of the car window, looked at the two of

them, and cursed.

As Hulda and David looked at the car less than a palm away from them, their hearts were beating fast.

After a while, David rushed to Henry’s car window and looked at him with a pleading face. “Mr. Ivan and

President Smith have been taken away by the police. We need money to take them out.”

When Henry thought of the news, his expression changed. He got out of the car and said to the two of

them,

“Follow me into the house!”

Hulda frowned. Henry’s attitude was different from what she thought. She thought that Henry would

drive

them away.

After entering the room, Henry sat across from the two of them. “Tansy Group doesn’t even have 350

million now?”

David tightened his fingers. “We had it before, but we were tricked by Smith Group. Mr. Ivan spent all

the cash on other projects, so now Tansy Group had no extra liquidity.”

Henry nodded. No wonder they were in such a mess.

“Mr. Ivan has helped me a lot. I will lend you money.”

David was joyful, and Hulda was taken aback for a moment, and then smiled.

“That’s great.”

David felt a little sad when he said these words. Many people had come to ask President Smith and Mr.

Ivan for help or borrow money before, and they all showed a very close relationship.

But when something happened to President Smith and Mr. Ivan, they all became busy, either on a

business trip or discussing business. They went to see ten people, and nine of them didn’t even want to

meet them, and one was sure that President Smith and Mr. Ivan were unable to get out, and mocked

David and Hulda wantonly.

Only Henry agreed to lend them money.

David clenched his fists tightly.

When President Smith and Mr. Smith came out, he would tell them these things and block these people

forever.

Just as David was thinking about it, he saw some embarrassment on Henry’s face. “However, my

company

has just started and needs money. I can lend you 100 million at most.”

“100 million?” David’s eyes lit up. “It is enough. We raised some money before and the taxes were

collected.

President Smith and Mr. Ivan will be released.”

Henry breathed a sigh of relief. “Okay, you go back. When I withdraw the money, I will contact you.”

Hulda didn’t speak the whole time. Watching them talk about the time, a dark light flashed in her eyes.

She was a little surprised that Henry would lend money to Ivan. Henry and Ivan were using each other, and he looked down on Ivan. Apart from colluding in some vicious things, they usually had no

friendship.

Henry could completely ignore Ivan.

In fact, Hulda wanted to tell Ivan that no one would lend them money when she went to the prison to

visit him. Ivan would be pissed off and his relationship with Henry would be destroyed.

But Henry was willing to lend money. What should Hulda do?

David was in joy the whole time and didn’t notice Hulda’s emotions at all.

Hulda was about to go out but suddenly her hand was grabbed. She turned her head and saw Henry

looking at her with a very frivolous look.

His gaze made her feel so embarrassed that she didn’t know what to do.

She wanted to withdraw her hand in disgust, but Henry held it tightly and even rubbed the back of her

hand with his fingers.

“I didn’t expect you to be so loyal to Ivan.”

Henry’s voice was hoarse. “If I lend you the money to save Ivan, how will you repay me?”

Hulda’s eyes turned cold. “When Ivan comes out, he will pay you back.”

Henry lowered his head and smiled. “But I’m very interested in you now. Mr. Ivan hasn’t come out yet,

do you want to stay with me? You will have a good life with me.”

“No need!” Hulda gritted her teeth and pulled her hand out with great strength. “I’m already married.”

She glared at him and strode away.

Married?

Surprise flashed in Henry’s eyes. Did Ivan marry Hulda?

But soon, he realized that Ivan had expected what would happen, so he transferred his property to

Hulda in advance.

Fortunately, Hulda was loyal to Ivan, otherwise, Ivan would lose all his money. Henry thought of his

wife and children who were still in Coast City, and his face darkened.

If it wasn’t for Cain, he wouldn’t struggle in this strange city.

After taking over Miller Group, he thought that he would make a big splash, and sooner or later he

would return to Coast City and take back everything. But he didn’t expect it would be so difficult. It

would be more

convenient for him if Ivan came back.

When Hulda saw David waiting for her at the door, she hurried over.

David looked at her suspiciously. “Ms. Hulda, what’s up?”

“I talked with Mr. George and thanked him for helping Ivan.” Hulda smiled gently.

The suspicion in David’s eyes dissipated, and he nodded. “Yes, we should thank him.”

After Hulda heard this, a hint of sarcasm flashed in her eyes.

David was lost in his own thoughts, so he didn’t see the sarcasm in Hulda’s eyes. He drove Hulda to a

simple apartment.

This apartment was rented by Hulda before, and after the house was sold, she could only live here.

“It’s getting late. Go back to rest. When we get the money, we can take President Smith and Mr. Ivan

out.”

David looked at the simple and plain apartment, and a trace of guilt flashed in his eyes. “When they

come out, I will change rooms for you immediately. I’m sorry.”

Hulda shook her head, and her voice was gentle. “It’s okay. As long as they can come out early, I’m

willing to

live in a slum.”

David was very moved by these words.

He was a man, and he knew how lucky it was for a man to have such a woman who supported him.

Mr. Ivan didn’t treat Hulda very well in the past. If it wasn’t for Tansy Group’s accident, Hulda might

have been a shameful lover for the rest of her life, and she would never be Ivan’s wife.

Moreover, Mr. Ivan liked to abuse people and had a violent temperament. Hulda must have been

beaten many times.

However, Hulda supported him and tolerated him. She shared his troubles with him, which was

touching. What happened last night made David feel more moved.
