Time flies.

Chapter 161

I originally planned to go back before Stella gave birth, to be there for the arrival of the new life, to

share that joy

However, she went into labor earlier than expected, and I couldn’t make it back in time.

What I received was the news of her joy and a photo of the baby

Sure enough, she had twins, a boy, and a girl, which was just perfect.

The two babies in the photo had tender skin, and their little eyes were still closed, which really made

people feel sorry

I often thought of my lost child. If she were sull here, she should be born soon, would she also have

tender skin and be incredibly cute?

Since I couldn’t make it back in time, I chose to continue traveling.

And so, two years passed.

The nights in Rosemont were still charming

I was sitting in a taxi, the window half–open, watching the dazzling neon lights illuminate the city

The driver was very concerned about economic affairs, and his radio was broadcasting various

economic news, including news about Rosemont.

“…this will be the third welfare home built by Whitmore Co. in the past year…”

This was the second time I heard about Neil,

Over the past two years, Stella and her family never mentioned Neil and Bonnie in front of me, and I

Apart from my parents and Stella, I didn’t tell anyone my new phone number, including Russel, Oscar

“Mr. Whitmore is really a good man!” The driver suddenly exclaimed to me, “I have a neighbor who was

a young couple. They died in a car accident. Their son is only five years old and has been sent to the

welfare home. Children without parents are really pitiful, at least they have a home with the welfare

“Yeah, that’s true.” I nodded in agreement.

At this point, my phone rang, it was a message from my mom: [Where are you? Call me when you get

there, remember to change your clothes.]

Parents are niggling. After two years of me traveling around, they finally couldn’t help but urge me to

come back and hope that I could find a good man.

They knew that I didn’t plan to be single for a lifetime, so they were very dedicated to helping me find

“Your dad and I miss you too. Have you traveled enough in these two years? Come back and settle

down, Stella’s twins can walk now. They call mom and dad so sweetly, Barbara also got a boyfriend,

now only you and Ali are single.” My mom said, patting my hand.

“Even though you verbally agreed to be single for life, your actions are quite busy” I pretended to be

angry.

“You didn’t try your best to find, did you? If you tried but still couldn’t find, your dad and I won’t urge

you.” My mom responded.

I sighed helplessly, “Alright, where’s the dress you prepared for me? I want to dazzle the crowd later

and make all the men fascinated by mel

My mom laughed, “Stop talking, here you go!”

She handed me the bag in her hand.

I took the bag, walked into a resting room in the venue with my small suitcase, where there was an

independent changing room.

I walked in and took out the dress my mom had prepared for me.

The older generation doesn’t pay much attention to design and fashion, they prefer things that are

atmospheric and decent, so my mom chose for me a blue retro long dress.

The boldest design was on the back, revealing one third of my back, and the rest was tightly covered.

But there was a problem, the zipper at the back needed someone to help me pull up.

I didn’t care about the zipper, first put on the accessories my mom prepared for me one by one, then I

had to put on some light makeup.

Suddenly, there was a voice outside the changing room.

before?”

You may not know, the adopted daughter of the vice president of Harmony Enterprises is back in the

country and is said to be looking for companies to

her.

I packed up my makeup and left the changing room, then called my mom to come over and help me

pull up the zipper, otherwise it didn’t look neat.

“Mom, can you come to resting room number 2? I can’t reach the back zipper of this dress,”

I said helplessly, “I hurt my elbow while skiing a few days ago and can’t force it back…”

Alicia gave me a light pat on the forehead, “You still remember to come back?”

me?”

of Harmony Enterprises, Zora, is coming to the ball, attracting a lot of rich people, my parents asked

me to come and check it out, get a boyfriend.”

Our experiences were really similar.

“I’m the same as you, let’s go together.” I took Alicia’s hand, and we walked out of the resting room

together.

The atmosphere today was hopping. The dance hadn’t even officially kicked off yet, but there were

The moment Alicia and I step in, we’re immediately invited for drinks.

Sure, most people came for Zora, but not everyone was hoping to catch her fancy. The competition’s

fierce and the outcome was hard to predict.

Alicia and I, though, aren’t really on the hunt for partners. She’s got family pressure, and me, I’ve got

my mom’s health on my mind. She’s been hospitalized again due to her heart condition.

Even if it’s just to make her happy, I need to seriously start looking for someone.
