When Queenie heard Nicole was still defending Madeline, she smiled maliciously as she shed vindictive tears. Then,
she raised her head and looked at Colton with teary eyes before she turned to Nicole and mocked, "Nicole, I know
what you're thinking! Your parents divorced in the early years, so you think you are safe by passing the buck to
Dad! Oh, how ridiculous you are! Why would it take the Gardners such a long time to learn the truth and the real
murderer if your Mom and Dad hadn't joined hands back then?! And why didn't your Mom report Dad for
committing a hit-and-run if she was truly innocent?!"
Every word that escaped from Queenie's lips was akin to a sharp dagger as it sent a stabbing pain to Nicole's heart.
Nicole's eyes darkened with displeasure, yet she couldn't refute Queenie's words because they made sense.
Colton immediately stood protectively in front of Nicole as he regarded Queenie sullenly. Finally, he simply repeated
his order coldly, "Leave."
Queenie still wanted to add her two cents, but he had run out of patience. Therefore, he impatiently grabbed the
phone and called the villa's security guards.

mother was innocent.
Colton quickly composed himself and wiped away the sullen look on his face. Then, as his face softened, he
squatted down, hugged Hayden, and reassured softly, "Everything will be fine. Don't worry, Hayden. I will take care
of this matter."
Nicole fluttered her lashes as she stared at her feet and heard Colton's voice. She knew that he wasn't just saying
those words to comfort Hayden but also saying them to her.
But Queenie did have a point, she pondered over the matter for a while. After a long time, she looked up at Colton
