Chapter 860 "Bro, can we just head back down the mountain, pretty please?" Liz tugged at the man's midsection, causing Remington to tense up at her sudden coquettish behavior. His lips parted slightly, almost ready to agree without a second thought.

"Sweetie, I'll have Cedric drive you hto rest, okay?" Liz lifted her head from his embrace, "And what about you?" "I'll see you in the morning," Remington said, his deep eyes shining with determination.
In essence, he was unwilling to leave, preferring to stay until morning to prove his point to her.
Liz sighed in resignation, furrowing her brows.

Memories of the previous night flooded back, startling Liz. She quickly sat up, opened the car door, and jumped out. She noticed the car was still parked at the cemetery entrance, but Remington and Cedric were nowhere in sight. Instinctively, Liz looked up at the sky, guessing it to be around 5:30 AM.
She hurried towards the cemetery entrance and soon heard Mr. Jackson and Cedric's voices.
"Last night was really odd. Thunder rumbled all night, but not a drop of rain fell"Thankfully, or our CEO En would've had a rough time."
"I'll make sginger tea and whip up a simple breakfast. Mr. Cedric, if om you don't mind, you could have a bite here before heading down the mountain. Wouldn't want you to start the day on an empty stomach."
"That would be fantastic! Mind? We'd be grateful. Mr. Jackson, cousa you possibly make a bit extra? In a bit..." Cedric, noticing Liz approaching, quickly ended their chat and walked towards her.
"Mrs. Dashiell, you're up. Did you sleep okay last night?" Liz, feeling a bit awkward since she had slept in the car, knew Cedric wouldn't have stayed in the car as well.
"How did I end up in the car last night?" "Sometafter 2 AM, the boss carried you down the mountain and placed you in the car." Liz wasn't surprised by the answer; she had no memory of how she fell asleep.
To think she didn't feel a thing while being carried down the mountain by Remington. "Where is he?" she asked hurriedly.
