Before Xavier could give her a response, Nate strode toward them.
He walked straight up to Shania and tossed her phone aside without hesitation.
Shania was stunned by his action. She was about to lose her temper when she realized that the person
beside her was none other than the star of the event, Nate. Since she was at his event, she was afraid
to cause a scene, so she softened her tone and said coquettishly to him, “Sorry for upsetting you, Nate,
but—”
However, before Shania could finish speaking, Nate snarled ruthlessly at her, “Get lost!”
The former was once again rendered speechless. Although she had previously heard about Nate’s
aloofness in the industry, she had never heard anyone describe him as having such a short fuse and
being disrespectful.
“But Nate!” she whined.
Nate, however, paid no heed to her and did not give her a chance to finish her sentence again. Instead,
he said mockingly, “Who do you think you are? Look at yourself in the mirror before trying to butter up
to me. Are you worthy?”
Shania was at a loss for words. She never expected that Nate, who had always maintained a
gentlemanly image in the industry, would say such harsh words to her in public. It was simply
humiliating to her.
Her face flushed red from embarrassment and rage. Being impulsive as she was, she could not tolerate
it after hearing such snarky remarks.
“Godd*mnnit! Aren’t you guys just filthy rich? You really think that you’re superior to others?” She
glared at Nate before turning her head and pointing at Winnie.

“This b*tch bought a whole store of clothes today to humiliate me. So what? I’m not as rich as she is,
but at least I’m not as filthy. I only date one man at a time. Unlike her, a two-timing whore! How disgust
—!”
However, Shania was abruptly slapped in the face before she could finish her words.
Winnie assumed that the slap came from Xavier because she saw him stretching his fingers as Shania
insulted her.
It was apparent, however, that the man closer to Shania was the one who did it.
Nate’s slap shocked Shania.
Blood was already dripping from the corner of her mouth where her teeth had scraped the inside of it.
She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth before raising her head to glare at Nate.
“Are you f*cking crazy? What does my berating this b*tch have to do with you? Why are you more
anxious than her and her husband? Could it be that you’re also one of her lovers? Two cousins sharing
one woman. You guys surprisingly have similar tastes!”
“Shania! Hamilton!” Nate lifted his hands and squeezed Shania’s shoulders, his eyes burning with rage.
“I would’ve torn your mouth off long ago if it weren’t for my dread of getting my hands dirty!”
After saying that, he turned around and growled, “Aren’t you going to get the security guards to drag
this crazy woman out?”
At that moment, an employee from Nate’s agency hurried over and whispered into his ear pleadingly,
“Don’t make a big deal out of it and get things out of hand. There are so many reporters here. We’re in
the same company. It won’t be easy to salvage the situation.”
Nate snorted and curled his lips into a smirk. “Wasn’t it someone in your agency who told her to pack
up and leave? Don’t get on my nerves, or there will be consequences.”
The man could only lead Shania out first because he genuinely did not dare to provoke Nate.
Meanwhile, there was a commotion among the reporters due to Shania’s overwhelming amount of
information and the fact that Nate had instantly lost his temper.
If the fans knew that the reserved and gentlemanly actor they admired suddenly became a mean and
vicious man who not only hit someone but may very well have an affair with his cousin-in-law, what will
they think? Will his acting career come to an end?
The reporters started taking photos, every one of them eager to share the latest scoop.
Some had already started asking questions.
However, neither Winnie, Xavier, nor Nate gave any response.
Winnie felt that what happened earlier had reached her desired outcome, but she did not wish to
remain in the chaos any longer.
She gave Xavier a look, and he immediately understood that she intended to leave, so he moved
forward to clear a path.
Winnie patted Nate’s shoulder lightly as she walked past him, whispering, “I must say, that was a good
slap. I’ll let you handle things here.”
However, the reporters also captured this brief incident on camera, and it would later be used as proof
that Nate and Winnie, his cousin-in-law, had an affair.

Winnie got into the car and noticed that Shania was still arguing with her manager outside.
Even when Xavier called her, she merely hummed in response.

Xavier held her hand and replied, “I have many ways. In any case, I won’t let her off. This is the price
she has to pay.”
Winnie nodded. “To be honest, I can’t be bothered to pay attention to her.”
“Yes. She’s just an insignificant person, but Winnie…” He stared down at her and abruptly changed the
subject. “I’m more interested in the photo she took out just now. Shouldn’t you be giving me an
explanation?”
“Yes.” Winnie immediately sat up straight and looked at Xavier sincerely. “I was ready to explain to you
just now at the venue, but Nate suddenly appeared and interrupted me. That person is actually Lucas
Marsh, a good friend of mine. I think I mentioned him to you before when we went to Manchernius. He
and Lisanne Marsh are twins. She’s the older twin, while he is the younger one.”
