Chapter 160
“Ms. Jefferson, are you really the famous Anonymous? The mysterious woman who has taken on
Cataleya's mantle?”
“Exactly! Although the king has stepped in to prove that you're Anonymous, and although your disciple,
Juliana, has also shown similar evidence, we still wish to hear you admit that you're Anonymous
yourself.”
“My mother has been suffering from her illness for many years, but you've developed a drug to treat it.
Not only did you cure my mother, but you even helped my daughter find her own path. She was
accepted into a medical school in June, and she said she wanted to become a famous doctor, just like
Anonymous. She said she wanted to contribute to the medical field!”
“You've done so much for this world, but you were so humble to the point we could not find out who you
were. I think that someone like you, who has contributed greatly to society, should be admired and
respected by the people instead of hiding away.”
Bailey smiled. She then took two steps back and bowed at the friendly people.
“Indeed, I am Anonymous. I was honored to be chosen by Ms. Moore. She had imparted her
knowledge to me, and she had passed on her mantle to me. The contributions I have made to society
have been my duty, so I wouldn't dare to take pride in those matters. I am delighted to hear that my
work has helped those who have been suffering from illnesses, and thank you so much for thinking that
I've done well. Thank you.”
Just as she said that, the square plunged into silence.
After dozens of seconds of silence, the cheers of the people reverberated in the square.
“Ms. Bailey really is Anonymous! She really is!”
“I'm so happy! Once again, the medical industry has gotten another talented individual!”
“She'll be able to cultivate a batch of excellent students in the future so that she can pass on her

A reporter then asked, “Ms. Bailey, may I know if you'll be returning to the medical industry? Will you
join the National Institute of Medicine to join in their most challenging research for anti-cancer drugs?”
Bailey slightly inclined her head. She was not as courteous to the reporters, which was audible with her
less-gentle and less-casual tone.
“There will be organizations that will answer your question in the future, so I won't reply to you now. I
only have one thing to say: If the country needs me, I'll be there.”
With that, she strode out of the square.
However, there were too many people at the scene. Just as she took a step forward, the crowd blocked
her from moving further.
At that, the judicial officer said, “I'll have someone get the police to maintain order here. Ms. Jefferson,
please give me a second.”
Although Bailey was reluctant to trouble them and owe them a favor, she was trapped among the
people—she was genuinely uncertain that she would be able to leave unscathed.
“Thank you, then.”
The judicial officer said a simple, “You're welcome,” before turning to leave.
Right then, a commotion broke out in the crowd not far from them. A large group of bodyguards in black
began moving toward Bailey.
Even from within the crowd, Bailey could see the figure in the middle of the group of bodyguards.
It was Artemis Luther.
Why is he here?
Bailey furrowed her brows without knowing it.
Isn't he afraid of aggravating his wound with all that squeezing? Does he think that he's a tough person,
or is he trying to end his life this time since he failed to die the last time?
While she was preoccupied with those thoughts, the bodyguards escorted Artemis to Bailey.
The man smiled at her and asked, “Are you surprised to see me?”
Bailey shot him a glare at first. Then, when she saw the beading cold sweat on his forehead, she
widened her eyes.
So he did aggravate his wound! He wouldn't look so pained otherwise. He had it coming!
A person who had injured their heart would have to be bound to their bed for at least half a month.
Yet, Artemis was already out of his house after a few days. Therefore, he had no one to blame but
himself if he exacerbated his wound by squeezing with the other people.
The smile on Artemis' face widened.
This carefree woman's starting to show concern for me. Mm, this is a good start.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please listen to what I have to say. My grandfather is currently gravely ill, and
every minute that passes means more danger to his life. Could you please let Ms. Jefferson leave first?
Once she's done with my grandfather's craniotomy, I'll arrange a conference so that you can all talk to
her. How does that sound?”
It's...
The people shared a look with each other.
A moment of silence later, someone yelled, “Old Mr. Chivers' treatment can't be delayed any further.
Let's open up a path and let Ms. Jefferson save a life at the Chivers residence first!”
“Yes, yes. We have a long way to go. Since we now know that Ms. Bailey is the famous Anonymous,
we'll get the chance to talk to her again. Let's not delay her from saving a life.”
At that, the crowd parted to open up a path for the two to walk out of the place.
Artemis beamed at Bailey and gestured for her to head off first.
Bailey shot him a cold look and took the lead.
As Artemis watched her back, he curled his lips into a sly smile.
I'm glad I didn't miss out on this fascinating woman. She'll be more than enough for this life of mine.
In the car, Bailey coldly watched Artemis enter before barking out a mocking laugh. “You're still
breathing after all that suffering you've brought upon yourself?”
It was only after Artemis closed the car door did he reveal a look of agony on his face.

An old man had collided against his back earlier when he was trying to squeeze inward. It had not been
a hard collision, but it was more than enough for him to feel horrendous.
Bailey scanned the inside of the car before finding the medical kit under the front passenger seat.
“Take off your clothes.”
Her sudden statement rendered him speechless for a moment. He then narrowed his eyes at her and
said, “What did you just say?”
Bailey gave him a glare before gritting out, “Take off your shirt. Right. Now.”
Oh. Glee danced across Artemis' eyes. Seems like my pain is worth it. She's asking me to take off my
clothes herself, so I'm not going to be shy about it!
Hence, without missing a beat, Artemis swiftly undid his buttons before pulling off his shirt. Then, he
revealed his broad back to her.
Bailey's eyes widened. It was not because of the injury on his back but because of his bronze skin that
stunned her to her core.
For the past two days, she had been so focused on his wound that she never thought about how she
was looking at a mature man's body. Furthermore, she would not overthink the situation and make
things awkward for herself.
However, now that his condition had been stabilized, she could no longer stay focused on his injury.
She seemed to interpret everything differently after that.
“What's the matter? Is it serious?”
When Artemis sensed her prolonged stillness, he instinctively turned to look behind. When his gaze
met her panicking eyes, he realized what was going on.
“Ms. Bailey, what do you think about my sturdy body? In other words, are you interested in it?”
Bailey gritted her teeth.
This b*stard is acting up again!
