Time passed very slowly in the hospital,
SEIL apart from undergoing rehabilitation, Larissa would leam from Lewis in her spare time.
Lewis taught her about how the company was nur and the scope of management.
This was to ensure a smooth transition into her new role at the company.
Now that she wasn’t so free all the time, Larissa lound it much more tolerable at the hospital.
Larissa had asked to be discharged from the hospital. Her attending doctor agreed readily on the condition that she

On the day she was discharged, Gary personaly came to accompany her in spite of his busy schedule.
“I had someone decorate your room, and all the daily necessities you need are prepared. You can even move in

Larssa added. “During the weekends, I will bring Aster back to your home for a short visit when he doesn’t have
school.”
Gary was visibly disappointed, but he had no choice except to compromise.
He decided to agree. But he had one condition. “Alright then. Next time. I will decide on Aster’s elementary school
in the future. When he is old enough to enroll, both of you can move in with me.”
When Larissa agreed, a smile spread across Gary’s lace once again.
It was a workday aftemoon. Thus, no one was al home.
Larissa found a spare key that Wendy had lell for her under the rug outside the door. She opened the door to the
apartment.
After being away for more than a year, she couldnt hep but tear up at the familiar surroundings.
Gary and Lews went in before her. They surveyed Larissa’s three–bedroom apartment as if they were walking

Gary spent most of his time in Aster’s nursery. With a tender look in his eyes, he fidgeted with the plushie on the
bed and lipped the coloring books on Asler’s table.
Turning to Larissa, he asked, “When will Aster get all school? I’ll go with you to pick him up.”
