had read a few days before. She remembered feeling puzzled about why the Harris family would target the Cox
family out of the blue, especially since Marianne was connected to them through marriage.

At first, Naomi hadn’t paid it much mind. But now, with Gina bringing it up, things

“What did you say?” Naomi asked.
“I just made a comment about her being an illegitimate daughter. Was it so wrong to say that? Isn't she the
