When Emma said that, Allison felt a headache coming on. She was a lightweight when it came to drinking, but this
time she got properly smashed. Maybe because things were too ridiculous or maybe she wanted to drown her
sorrows, even though she was drunk last night, her mind didn’t get all messed up.
Allison rubbed her forehead and said, “I’m alright.”
Emma didn’t ask further. After all, everyone had their weak moments. “By the way, here are some scripts I picked
out for you. First, there is this play. Take a look. You’re the supporting actress in it, but the script is solid and it’s got
a big budget. Epic Entertainment invested 10% in it, and the lead actress is from Boswell Entertainment. Then
there’s this one, an online drama series, and those are doing really well right now. The script isn’t half bad, light-
hearted and fun. If the marketing is done right, it can easily get over a billion views. But this being your first lead

Allison took the scripts and started reading them closely.
Emma continued, “Sadie’s about to start filming soon, the cast is impressive, and the company’s been treating her
really well. But Allison, I think you’re better than her. It’s just that the company hasn’t been focusing on you.”
After going through the scripts, Allison was immensely grateful to Emma.
With scarce resources, Emma still picked out the best scripts for her. Clearly, she had put a lot of thought into it.
She knew she picked the right person.
“Emma, thank you.”
Emma smiled. “I should be the one thanking you. You pulled me out of Sadie’s claws, otherwise, I’d still be worrying
about Epic Entertainment’s debts.”
For an agent who had left Epic Entertainment, finding a new job wasn’t easy.
“Emma, my mom… she’s not doing well. I want to take some time off.” She was also waiting for Wade’s movie to
start filming, which would be in about 20 days. She needed a break to handle some stuff with the Flanagan family.

Dr Kenston looked at Dr. Dylan. Even though there were some minor issues recently, it did not alter his opinion of
Dr. Dylan. “Dylan, I was just about to find you.”
Kenston smiled and took out a document from his drawer. “This is the application for further study in the U.S., I
saved one for you. You’re perfectly qualified.”

Kenston’s expression turned serious. “What happened? Why do you want to leave? Is it because of Jade’s incident
yesterday?”
Dr. Dylan nodded, then shook his head. “Not entirely because of that.”
Kenston said seriously, “Dylan, you’re one of the best students I’ve ever had. I hope you consider this carefully. Your
current position is hard-earned. If you want to go to another hospital, I can give you a recommendation, but I hope
you reconsider. Don’t give up your career over personal feelings. Remember, your patients need you. Remember
the reason you originally chose to study medicine, and the promise you made when you first came here.”
Of course, Dr. Dylan remembered. He slowly clenched his fist.
Kenston continued, “You can go to the U.S. for further study, for eight months, to learn about the latest techniques.
Not to run away.”
