Thalassa took a deep breath and picked up her phone.
A deep, chilling male voice resonated through the call. Its oppressive aura was as clear as day even across the phone line.
“Did you pick up the kids?”
Thalassa’s heart tightened, her voice shaky as she replied, “No, I’m still at work. I haven’t left the office yet.”
“Understood, Lysander responded, then hung up.
Thalassa was about to ask further, but her phone had already gone silent.
