Chapter 922

Lysander had been tracking the necklace for days, the one that had stayed put in Vibrant Oasis Residences. It

hadn’t budged an

inch.

To deceive him last time, Thalassa left the necklace there to make it seem like she was at home with her mother,

when, in reality, she had sneaked out to meet Callum.

The necklace remained untouched at Vibrant Oasis Residences.

Lysander was keeping an eye on the tracker, waiting for Thalassa to remember its existence and finally retrieve it.

Today, when he checked the tracker, the necklace was on the move.

But its location was odd-it was at a boutique jewelry store, the very brand that made the necklace.

The last time the necklace had appeared in such a store, it was because Betty had swiped Thalassa’s precious

piece, intending to cash it in.

What was it this time?

Was Thalassa really going to sell the necklace he had given her?

Lysander’s eyes narrowed, a brooding energy radiating from him.

After Bruce snagged the necklace from Vibrant Oasis Residences, he went for the jewelry boutique. He didn’t beat

around the bush with the sales clerk, saying, “I want to sell this necklace. Your store buys back pieces at 80% of the

original price, right?”

Bruce was no stranger to hawking jewels; he knew the game.

“Yes, sir, we do need to authenticate it first,” the clerk said politely.

“Of course,” Bruce replied, understanding the protocol, and handed over the necklace.

The clerk nodded, cradling the necklace in her hands as she took it to the expert for appraisal.

The expert examined the necklace and suddenly looked very serious, whispering something to the clerk.

The clerk’s expression changed instantly.

She returned to Bruce with a look of suspicion and wariness and said, “Sir, are you sure this necklace belongs to

you?”

“Of course, it’s mine, how else would I have it?” Bruce retorted.

The clerk, still doubtful, explained, “Sir, this necklace is a one-of-a-kind custom design from the Sinclair Group,

personally commissioned by its CEO, Lysander Sinclair. Without his authorization, it can’t be sold. I’m terribly sorry.”

She offered the necklace back to Bruce, still in her careful grip.

Bruce’s face darkened; his eyes, once gleaming with the anticipation of easy money, now flickered with fear. The

necklace was a personal creation of Lysander’s!

Lysander had custom-designed such an expensive necklace for Thalassa, so his feelings for her must be

extraordinary.

As Bruce took the necklace back and turned to leave, he spotted someone entering the store-an imposing figure

with an aristocratic air, surrounded by a few burly bodyguards creating quite the entourage.

His face blanched, panic flashing in his eyes, but he quickly mustered a facade of composure and forced a phony

smile, “Mr. Sinclair, what a coincidence.”

Lysander strode towards him, deep gaze landing on the necklace in Bruce’s hand. His handsome face turned

stormy, and an icy aura enveloped him as he closed in on Bruce.

Bruce thought he might be able to bluff his way through, but Lysander’s presence was overwhelming, his chilly

demeanor like a biting wind, causing Bruce to unconsciously back up.

“You think you’re fit to touch what’s mine?” Lysander’s piercing eyes swept over Bruce, and he signaled to his

bodyguards with a subtle glance.

The guards understood immediately and advanced, their formidable presence unmistakable.

Bruce, intimidated by the overpowering atmosphere, retreated, hastily offering up the necklace, “I found this piece

by chance and had no idea it belonged to Mr. Sinclair. I’m terribly sorry. Here, I’ll return it to you.”
