Chapter 614 Megan was starting to think she had some kind of guardian angel looking out for her these past few days. It was as if she'd been touched by divine grace.
Just then, the tantalizing aroma wafted from the galley.
Melissa's nose twitched at the scent of barbecue sauce and smoky flavors, “Let's go and eat some barbecued eel’ she said, licking her lips and rising swiftly to her feet, "You know, Aurelia really knows her stuff. Her food is to die for." Megan rolled her eyes silently. She realized she was hungry too.
Under the watchful eyes of the crew, Aurelia wouldn't dare slip her an abortifacient. She might as well take advantage of the free meal and treat Aurelia as a maid.
Aurelia finished grilling the eel, drizzling it with a special sauce that made the mouthwatering smell drift throughout the cabin, even the bodyguards seemed envious.

Skyler tucked into his meal with gusto.
"I don't want to go back to Eastwood Heights. | want to stay in Elysium, to be with William, Angel, and Leopold all the time." Leopold smiled, “Well, after your grandma celebrates her 90th birthday, you can come back with us." In his eyes, keeping Skyler in Elysium, right under his watchful eye, not only could lure out Geoffrey but also prevent him from being manipulated by Tanya, a win-win.
"That's great." Skyler exclaimed, throwing his arms up in excitement.
He didn't like Eastwood Heights, and didn't want to see Tanya or Geoffrey. Here he had friends like William, Angel, and Leopold.
No one laughed at his stutter, and no one called him dumb.
William was thrilled too. He hoped Skyler would stay in Elysium forever so he could learn a lot from him.
Aurelia served Skyler a bowl of the chowder, guessing that he probably didn't get much affection at home, but was more eager for it than anyone.
Skyler tasted it and smacked his lips, "Delicious." Aurelia smiled faintly, "Have some more if you like it." A thought suddenly sprouted in her mind. Maybe, Skyler was the one who could truly defeat Geoffrey and settle the score with AK Group. After all, he knew Geoffrey better than anyone else in the world.
Megan ate with the least pleasure. The better Aurelia's cooking, the more irritated she became.
She was outdone at every turn.
“Honey, | don't want to sleep alone tonight. Can you please keep me company?" she cooed to Leopold.

Megan was left feeling disappointed, "But I'm scared to be alone." “Let the bodyguards keep you company,’ Leopold suggested.
Megan was seething inside, certain that Aurelia was snickering in the shadows, mocking her for being neglected.
Melissa patted her shoulder, "Megan, Leopold is thinking of your baby, worried about accidentally hurting it during a restless dream. The doctor did say it's best for expectant mothers to sleep alone.” That gave Megan an out. She caressed her slightly swollen belly, “I understand.” After dinner, darkness had set in, and everyone went up to the deck to stargaze.
Without the pollution of city lights, the stars shone exceptionally bright.
"Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how | wonder what you are,” William sang in his childlike voice.
Melissa mused that sometimes William seemed so mature, like an adult, but at other times, he was just a three-year-old child.
“William, why don't you take off your hat so | can see what you look like?" "No way, this is my protective hat. | can't take it off." William shook his head as if it were on a spring.
Melissa felt confused, "But what about in the summer? Won't you be hot?" "In the summer, | have a cooling mesh mask. It's all cool and breezy, not hot at all" William assured her, pulling a face.
"But we still don't know what you look like" Melissa pouted.
