Chapter 1424 Hanna thought this kind of charity gala was far away from her. She was interested in the online content about it and she never expected to be invited to it.

Hanna asked, “Who else in the film crew is invited?” Shelly said, “The actor who plays the male leading role, Rowan.” Hanna blinked. “No one else?” Shelly said, “No.” Rowan was a big star. Hanna was not surprised that he was invited. But she was surprised that she was invited when none of the directors, producers, and the leading actress were invited. I'm not myself in front of the cameras.” Hanna replied, “And | never attended a gala like this before. After dinner, Hanna and Calvin cto the lake for a walk.

The refreshing breeze gently blew.

There were many happy couples around the lake. Hanna couldn't help but feel envious when she saw them walking hand in hand.

Hanna had been hand in hand with Calvin before. But it was often her who asked for it and then he would agree.

Hanna thought Calvin would never take the initiative to hold her hand when they were alone.

Hanna thought they were far from a real couple though Calvin had said he had a crush on her.

Hanna glanced at those couples hand in hand from tto time.

Suddenly, Hanna stiffened and looked at her right hand in a daze. She saw her right held by Calvin's left hand.

Hanna asked, “Why are you...” Calvin asked, “Don’t you want it? | noticed that you glanced at them a lot of times and thought you wantedto hold your hand.” Hanna blushed. And she admitted it. “Yes, | do.” Calvin said, ready to continue to walk, “Then let's keep walking.”

Hanna suddenly said, “Wait!” She turned around and put her arm around his waist .She buried her face inthis arms and murmured, “Thank you for doing this.” Hanna wanted to tell Calvin the things she hid in her heart since she had plucked the courage to do so.

“Yesterday, you said that you had a crush on me. | was really happy. Even though it's just a crush, | saw hope.” Hanna said in a low

voice When I wanted to kiss and touch you,you said You didn't mind it because we were boyfriend and girlfriend and it was the natural thing to do. But you know what? | think only people really in love should do that kind of thing.

People do it because they're in love, not just because they're in a relationship.” Calvin listened quietly to Hanna. He could feel her tension as she spoke. He also felt her grip on his hand tightened.

“Although you said that you wouldn't feel annoyed if | did those things to you. But | think it will not be mn something delightful if you don't really love me Hanna continued, “| just selfishly wanted to get closer to you and becmore intimate with you. | forgot that the only person who was happy about that was me, not you.” This was what Hanna was thinking about when watching those couples pass by.

Hanna noticed that those couples smiled joyfully when they behaved intimately.

Hanna never saw that kind of smile on Calvin's face.
