Delbert rubbed his sleepy eyes and frowned at the sound of restrained sobbing. He reached out and
took her into his arms
“Silly girl, why are you crying again?” he said.
Harriet choked and said intermittently, “I’m sorry. I didn’t knc were injured. I shouldn’t have

Delbert chuckled and rubbed her head. “It’s okay, sweetheart. light injuries are nothing to me. Don’t

Harriet continued to stare at him until her eyes became misty.
She sniffed suddenly lifted the blanket got out of bed and threw
herself into Delbert’s arms
