Karen had stopped trying to get rid of Rita ever since she got pregnant, so how could Sadie not be angry? Rita was like a thorn in her side, and Sadie would never be happy unless Rita was dead.
"Don't you know I like Sherman? How could you askto do nothing when Rita has stolen him from me?! I was the one who liked him first. It's either Rita goes, or I go! Only one of us can make it out alive," snarled Sadie.
Alas, she never expected Vince to kick open the door, startling both women. Karen, with tears in her eyes, looked at him with shock. "Vince, I can explain! Sadie was just joking..." Sadie's expression was one of fear, at a loss for how to explain herself to Vince. She eventually lowered her head in guilt. When facing Rita, all her hatred was justified. Vince, however, had been kind to her all along. It was difficult for her to face him while threatening to kill his daughter.
Vince sneered. "Well, well. I never expected the stepdaughter I've been raising all these years would turn out to be so ungrateful. You should know very well I treated you with nothing but kindness, right, Sadie? Is this how to repay me? How can you conspire with your biological father to hurt my daughter? Sadie Ru- "No. You're not a Russell. Looks like you've never forgotten you're a Parr after all. This is all my fault. I shouldn't have married your mother.
