Franco stared at Tyshawn through narrowed eyes.

“Are you so desperate to havedead? They gave you numerous chances to redeem yourself, yet here you are.

They were right to not give you another one after the last!”

Realizing that his plan was exposed, Tyshawn didn’t bother to keep up his act.

He raised the syringe and aimed to stab it right into the old man’s chest.

“There's no point in you knowing the truth now! You can just go to hell!”

Swoosh!

Before Tyshawn could even bring the syringe down, a kick landed on his wrist.

The syringe sailed into the air and fell to the side, while Tyshawn crumpled to the floor from the force of the kick.

Dotson wasted no tand pressed the sole of his shoe against Tyshawn’s back, pinning the latter down.

“You're a hopeless case.

How dare you try to murder your own flesh and blood?!”

Just then, Bryson and Hannah also burst into the room, followed by the others.

They were greeted with the sight of Tyshawn flailing on the floor, trapped and powerless.

Bryson rushed forward and helped Franco sit up in bed.

“Are you all right, Grandpa?”

“Yes,” the old man replied, his face filled with disappointment as he glanced over at Tyshawn.

“Stay here.

The rest of you, leave.

We have something to talk about in private.

“Yes, Sir!” the bodyguards responded in unison before filtering out of the room.

Dotson strode across the room and picked Tyshawn up into a kneeling position.

A moment of silence passed, and the air grew heavy with tension.

“I never wanted to tell Bryson about this.

” Franco finally spoke.

“I thought you were simply young and impulsive, so | dismissed it as an isolated incident.

He glared at the disheveled Tyshawn.

“But you never learned to repent at all.

If anything, you only got worse over time.

At this point, | have no longer have any reason to cover for you.

Hannah, who stood right next to the bed, couldnt help but turn to the old man and listen intently.

“You were the one who pusheddown the stairs during my birthday party.

You meant to killthat time, didn’t you?” Franco said.

Bryson had already guessed as much, but hearing Franco say it out loud only ignited his anger.

“You don’t have to say anything else, Grandpa.

| will take Tyshawn and make sure he learns his lesson.

But the old man quickly grabbed his wrist and stopped him.

“No, you cannot dirty your hands over this scum of a man.

Tyshawn raised his head at that.

“I wouldn't have resorted to such desperate measures if you weren't so impartial to Bryson in the first place! |

had no choice.

Why should | be blamed for all of this?”

“How many times did we forgive you for your transgressions?” Franco thundered.

“When Bryson went abroad, everyone supported you on your bid to be the next CEO.

Did you honestly think you achieved everything on your own? Would they make such a daring move without my

blessing?!”

Tsyhawn struggled against Dotson and countered the old man with just as much outrage.

“It’s because I'm nowhere near as brilliant as Bryson, and you know it! Why should | be fodder for his success?!”

There was more he wanted to say, but he was abruptly cut off when Dotson slammed a fist into Tyshawn’s

cheek.

Tyshawn reeled to the side, his thoughts jumbled up as he struggled to pull himself together.

“Stay put,” Dotson said menacingly above him.

“Make another move, and I'll punch you again.
