He had hit Darryl and made him pass out?

Lucas panicked as he felt their gazes on him. However, he snapped back to his senses and sneered at Darryl. “You
sure know how to make up stories. You’re the Elysium Gate’s Sect Master and the Westrington Emperor; how could
I make you pass out so easily? Don’t try to push the responsibility on me.”
Then, Lucas said, “Darryl, you’re an influential figure, yet you would not admit your mistakes. How can you call
yourself a man?”

Darryl was furious when Lucas twisted the truth. However, he did not have any evidence, so he did not know how to
explain himself.

When he saw Darryl was silent, Lucas felt proud. He sneered at the man. “I see that you’re speechless—must be
your guilty conscience.”

Darryl took a deep breath and did not bother to talk to him. Instead, he turned to look at Jacob and said, “Manor
Master Jacob, I did not know what happened that night. However, I can swear it with my reputation. Miss Parker and
I are friends. I would never do such a thing to her.”

Jacob’s stern expression relaxed a little. He nodded and said, “Naturally, I believe Master Darby. I find this entire

did not know that she was a woman.

wanted to defile her.
Darryl smiled but said nothing.

Jackie trembled and glared at Lucas; she was embarrassed and furious.
‘Lucas is such an idiot! How dare he say that I’m Darryl’s hostage? How can I have such a stupid sect member?’
At that moment, Jackie wanted to kill Lucas so badly, but she held herself back.
Her internal energy was completely depleted. Also, she had led the Illusion Sound Sect disciples to attack the
Famed Sword Manor previously. If they knew who she was, they would not let her go so easily.
