Chapter 5631

What?

The hall broke out into a sea of voices at the news.

Everyone was shocked, thinking they had heard wrongly.

It was important to note that the Lange household operated on a strict set of rules, and it

took a regular pupil at least two years to be considered one of the Master's own.

Yet 'Beka' was not even related to the Langes, and was a mere pupil from another sect. On

top of that, he had been made Tuji's own pupil in barely two days. This was unbelievable.

What...

Circe jerked at the news from where she stood as well, her brain buzzing blankly as she

stared at Tuji in shock.

What had gotten into her father?

He barely knew anything about Beka. Why was he making him his own pupil just like that?

More importantly, her father had been suspicious of Beka's identity all this time. Seeing

him change his mind so suddenly threw her off guard greatly.

"Master!"

Just as Circe was reeling in shock, an elder could not help but step up to offer a word of

advice. "Master... Beka's not

related to us Langes. It's unfair to take him in as a pupil."

As he spoke, he cast a glance at Antigonus. The fellow looked painfully average, and

nothing like a genius with potential.

What the elder did not know then was that Antigonus had hidden his Fiend soul energy,

and that was why the elder did not sense anything.

"Yes, Master. He's lucky enough to even be taken in by the Langes to begin with..."

"Please think this through, Master."

The crowd grew abuzz as everyone spoke at the same time, unable to hide their disdain

for Antigonus. The elite pupils were especially frustrated, as they had worked their way up

to gain their position on their own. And here Beka was, being taken in by the head as his

own pupil in a mere two days. What right did he have?

Ha ha...

Antigonus chuckled at the crowd's response, not paying them any mind.

Tuji's expression darkened as he got to his feet, roaring at the crowd. "Shut up, all of you."

He had been sworn into loyalty to Antigonus ever since the Spirit Control Spell, and flared

up in anger at the sight of disrespect towards his master.

Seeing as the head was getting angry, everyone promptly shut up as the hall fell silent.

Tuji's expression was ashen as he cast a glance across the crowd. "I've made up my mind

regarding the matter. None of you can convince me anymore."

"Beka might not be very powerful, but he knows beast language. Also, he has a good

amount of potential. Steady practice will be sure to improve his skills."

As he spoke, Tuji's expression was nothing but firm, not leaving any room for retaliation.

Whew!

Seeing as Tuji had made his mind up, everyone exchanged glances as they did not dare to

say anything further.

Antigonus was pleased at the sight, a smile breaking out on his face. He would not have to

worry about being disrupted any longer with his new position.

At the thought, Antigonus walked up to Circe slowly with a light smile. "Pleased to be in

your care, Senior Sister Circe."

Circe cast a glance at him, grunting dully in response.

Circe was an intelligent woman, and knew instantly that something was off about today.

There was no way her father's opinion on Beka would change so quickly. Yet this was the

main hall, and it would not look very good for Circe to ask too many questions.

She had thought it through. She was going to leave the hall, and go to her father for a

chat.

Antigonus paid no mind to Circe's attitude. He smiled, retreating to the side.

The next second, Antigonus gazed at Tuji. "If that's all, Master, I'll be resting in my room. I

went to bed pretty late yesterday, and didn't get enough sleep."

As the words rang through the air, everyone's expressions shifted instantly.

Beka was not only rude, but also lazy for someone who had just been made Tuji's own

pupils. And he had also left the room in front of so many people... there was no way the

head wasn't going to regret this, right?
