“Yes, it’s proven,” Caroline said cautiously. “They will be punished, Paige. Are you coming back?”
Paige hesitated. “Alex, he…”
“He went to the Millers this early morning to confront them, and Evan helped call the cops, too. Alex is
suffering, Paige. In just a few days, he looks so much older. Are you sure you don’t want to call him?”

“Aren’t you going to get engaged to Mr. Jordan soon, Carol?” Paige gradually stopped crying. “Kenny told
