“Nicholas, you heartless monster! How could you force an inexperienced doctor to operate on my dad!”

However, Nicholas doubled down on his claims and said, “Who told you that he’s inexperienced? Dr.

Lenny is an excellent cardio specialist! But he’s not as skilled as my uncle.”

“I called my uncle earlier and he told me that he’s in a conference right now. He won’t be home for a

good long while, so he assigned Dr. Lenny to cover for him.”

Yulia replied, “You shameless scum! Dr. Wexler is standing in front of me right now! How could you still

say that to me?”

Nicholas scoffed. “My aunt must’ve been wrong then.”

“You shameless scug! Even if every man on Earth has perished, I would never even give scumbags like

you a single glance!” Yulia screamed.

Nicholas snapped and said, “You little slut. Have I been too nice to you before? Let me tell you this, your

grandma has agreed to our marriage on the eighth of next month. I will make sure your entire family is

ruined if you don’t marry me! Oh and make that scumbag Skylar leave or I will murder him!”

The call ended abruptly after that as everyone grew silent immediately.

Since Yulia was on loudspeaker earlier, everyone heard everything Nicholas said earlier. So, the truth

was obviously out by then. They could not believe that the son-in-law they thought so highly of did not

care about Lincoln’s life.

They were shocked when he wanted everyone to blame Lincoln’s death on Skylar when he, who was

constantly insulted by them, was the one who saved Lincoln earlier…

So, everyone looked awkward then. However, Lincoln was the only one confused about the whole

situation.

So, he told Skylar, “You must be tired after saving me earlier, right master? Why don’t we grab a drink

together…”

“Lincoln!” Betty yelled and continued, “Don’t you dare call him master!”

Lincoln felt helpless as he said, “Look, I just wanted to learn medicine. Isn’t this a good thing for our

family?”

Betty was so furious that she stomped her feet on the ground and yelled, “Go to hell! Gosh, you really

are your daughter’s father. You are so blind! He’s Skylar and he’s exactly why you had a heart attack

earlier!”

What? Lincoln was shocked. He was so furious that it nearly reversed all the treatment Skylar did to him

earlier. He could not believe the man he heralded as his master turned out to be the same person that

nearly got him exiled from his family.

Good gosh! I can’t believe I called him my master earlier!

Lincoln nearly cried when he learned the truth.

What is going on! This is too much of an elaborate joke now!

However, the chancellor could not be bothered by their family’s squabbles as he grabbed Skylar’s hand

and said, “Say master, since you’re so skilled in medicine, why don’t you come and supervise our

department? I can give you a hundred-million dollars and you don’t have to treat patients here. Just

teach me a thing or two, you know. Look, if there are any patients that are plagued with some unknown

ailments, all the money the hospital makes from the treatment will be yours if you’re willing to help out.”

“What?”

Yvonne who had just returned and was getting ready to spectate this scene was completely stunned by

what she heard.

Lincoln was also stunned by this announcement. His base pay is a hundred-million dollars and he gets

all the profit? Is Skylar really worth that much?

Upon hearing this, Skylar gave the chancellor a simple glance. He thought to himself, Wow, what a

cunning old man. He wants me to supervise his department just so he could learn a thing or two from

me? Keep dreaming.

He intended to live a normal life when he announced that he would stop healing anyone else. He knew

that if word about his skills were to get out, plenty of people would want him to treat them. He would have

been completely exhausted by this.

“Oh, I’m going to have to say no. Besides, I don’t need money.” Skylar replied.

“What? You don’t want a hundred-million dollars? Would it hurt you to swallow your pride?” Yvonne

panicked.

It almost seemed as if she was entitled to his money.

“Even if I was boasting, what does that have anything to do with you anyway?” Skylar scoffed.

“You…” Yvonne was rendered speechless.

“Look Lincoln, just look at the kind of man your daughter is into!” Charles mocked after Yvonne was

insulted.

When Betty heard how much was offered to Skylar, she changed her mind immediately. So, before

Lincoln could say anything, she said, “Look Charles, it doesn’t matter who he is. It all matters if he’s

useful. Not only did Skylar save Lincoln, Dr. Wexler was even willing to learn from him. Don’t you

understand that there are very few people who are as capable as him? I just can’t believe we managed

to snag one. If I need to pin the blame on anyone, it should be Yvonne’s fault for judging him!”

“You…” Charles was so furious that he could barely speak.

If Skylar’s medical skills really was as legendary as the chancellor claimed then his future would be

incredibly bright. However, he would never really marry his daughter to him. He understood that having

Skylar around as a rebound could improve his reputation.

So, Charles was annoyed after hearing that. He wondered just how his daughter could give up Skylar so

easily.

It seemed that Yvonne was also swayed by what Betty said.

“Hey Skylar, if you accept the chancellor’s offer, I will be willing to be your girlfriend. I know that you only

agreed to be with Yulia because of pride. I am now giving you a chance to make things right,” Yvonne

said with a smug look and felt confident about herself.

She believed that as long as she was willing, Skylar who had been obsessed over her for five years

would be willing to return to her side and be her own obedient little bootlicker. Besides, she was qualified

to attend the ceremony and her future was incredibly bright then. She felt that Skylar should feel honored

to be her boyfriend.

Hearing this made Betty nervous. Apparently, she was not nervous because she agreed to name him her

son-in-law, it was all for her pride. Moreover, she had always been bullied by

Charles seemed to have relented a little then.

Since this was a rare opportunity for Betty, she decided to finally speak her mind to Charles as she no

longer wished to be bullied by them any longer.

Meanwhile, Skylar grinned after hearing what Yvonne said.

Where did she even get such confidence from? How dare she even say that. If it wasn’t for mistaking her

for someone else back then, I would’ve never cared about her.

“Oh Yvonne, you should stop thinking so highly of yourself. You are barely a fraction of the person Yulia

is to me.” Skylar scoffed.

Yvonne was livid when she heard that, so she exclaimed, “Skylar, you disloyal bastard! Just you wait, I

will end you after I attend the ceremony. Don’t you forget, Yulia, most of our family business comes from

the Wexler family. If you don’t leave this bastard, our family will be ruined by you now that they’re also

invited to attend!”

Yvonne’s statement instantly snapped Madam Sue out from her trance, so she said, “I am ordering you

right now, Yulia. I want you to cut all ties with Skylar and beg Nicholas to forgive you right now!”
