At first, Emmett thought Clara would come over soon, but to his surprise, after several meetings, Clara
was still nowhere to be seen.
After finishing the work at hand, he decided to find Clara himself.
He pushed open her office door-

“Ah Clara was startled and looked up at him, “When… when did you come in?”

though” Emmett glanced at her design sketch and gently said, “Didn’t Ricardo find you? I asked him to

“Mr. Ricardo… I didn’t see him! Maybe we missed each other because of today’s schedule.” Clara felt a
bit embarrassed and turned her face away.
The truth was, she had just gotten back less than ten minutes ago, how could she have bumped into
Ricardo!
The main reason was that Leah had been crying, even threatening to commit suicide! Since she was
already there, she couldn’t just leave Leah alone.

“By the way, why were you looking for me?” In order not to let him notice her doubts, Clara changed the
subject.
“It’s about your design sketch! I plan to use your architectural design in the new development project

“Really?! Mine?”

“But…” Clara felt worried again, “My skills are not up to the level of a real designer! I’ve been self–
learning all these years, without any systematic education. I’m afraid there might be some omissions,
there might be problems I didn’t foresee! Building architecture is different from designing clothes.

Emmett raised his hand and lightly flicked her forehead.
“That’s why I wanted to see you alone! I want to explain this to you systematically, tell you what you
need to pay attention to in the design.”

comfortable with you being alone with other men, I’m worried you guys might develop feelings.”

Clara quickly shook her head, “Of course not! I’m thrilled! I’m a newbie in this industry, having your
guidance is like hitting the jackpot!”
Seeing her so excited, Emmett felt that investing some time in her was worthwhile.
“Well, starting from tomorrow, come to my office first after you get to work.”
“Alright!”
Emmett smiled, “You focus on your design sketch today, we’ll go over the details tomorrow.”
Emmett paused for a moment, then suddenly asked, “By the way, where… where were you earlier?
