Yvette's throat constricted. "I feel so sorry for what I've made her go through. I'll cthere and bring her back to Sangine County at once.
"I was about to go back to take care of sprojects anyway, so I can bring her back." Claude knew about what had happened with Xavier, and he said, "The children would like to cback too." If Viola returned to Sanguine County, Yvette wouldn't feel assured about leaving the children abroad either. Besides, Xavier had lost his memories and was blind. He probably wouldn't ask for the children. So, Yvette said, "Please bring the children back with you." "Alright." That night, Yvette couldn't sleep at all. After hearing about Viola, she kept thinking about her childhood.
Viola had been more like a mother to Yvette than Yara ever had. Viola had been so attentive and loving toward her-it had been no different from a mother's love.
Early the next morning, Yvette got up and prepared toiletries for Viola and the children. She also bought sgroceries, clothes, and shoes. She laid everything out in preparation for their arrival.
Later in the afternoon, she went to the airport to pick them up.
When Yvette saw Viola, she noticed that the latter's hair had turned gray, and she was much more hunched than she had been at their last rushed farewell.
Viola acted as if nothing had changed and gave Yvette a bag of snacks. "Yvette, I got sthings that you like from abroad." Yvette looked at all the different types of snacks in the bag.
She wondered how Viola, who didn't speak any foreign languages at all, had managed to get these while she had been abroad.
Yvette suppressed the bitter feeling in her heart and squeezed out a smile. "Viola, you're the best." Then, she gave Viola a hug. Claude stayed with the children at a distance and did not disturb the two of them.

Claude told Yvette that there was no need for Viola to receive further treatment. She would only suffer if she remained in the hospital, and it would be better for her to be around family.
Yvette listened silently. She wanted to say something, but she felt as though there were knives in her throat, rendering her unable to speak.
"Spend twith her while you can."
Yvette nodded. "Alright. I've spoken to the landlord. We'll move out om tomorrow and return to Sangine County as a family." Claude saw her pale face out of the corner of his eye. He opened his mouth and closed it several times wanting to ask her how things were with Xavier. But in the end, he settled for asking, "How have things been recently?"
Yvette knew that Ray had probably told him everything, but she still filled him in anyway. It was going to file for divorce, but then Xavier and I got into a car accident.
"He was severely injured, and now he's blind and has lost his membres. The court ruled against me, and I lost the case." Claude was silent. He felt like destiny often made fools of people. "So now you both..." "Things are alright now. He said that he'd never botheragain." X
