Chapter 372 Stop Pretending
The disgust in Finley's eyes deepened.
"Boring."
Thalia enjoyed cold rebuffs. The more distant Finley was, the more she
wanted to conquer him.
"Do you like me? Give me an answer. Don't be oblique."
Thalia stood up nonchalantly, acting so frivolous that she didn't look like a lady from a rich family.
"No."
"Heh, don't be so sure. I've dated many men. Maybe you'll give in to my charm, too."
"No."
"Oh, then let's see about it."
Thalia looked as if victory was in her grasp.
Every man could be seduced.
She had seen someone like Finley, who was pretending to be noble and virtuous. Perhaps he was
more frivolous than anyone in private.
However, Finley stared straight at her for a while.
Thalia pursed her lips and smiled.
"What are you looking at?"
"Have you ever seen a psychiatrist?" Finley frowned and asked seriously.
"What?"
"Some psychological diseases need to be treated with medicine under the guidance of a doctor. I hope
you can take it seriously."
Thalia's playful expression instantly turned sour.
"Are you crazy?"
She cursed in disdain and turned to leave.
"Remember to come to tomorrow's party. Otherwise, Alexa won't have a good time," Thalia threatened
without looking back.
Thalia knew Finley's weak spot. He would definitely take the bait when it involved Alexa.
Although it worked like a charm every time, Thalia felt uncomfortable.
She had just walked out of the inpatient building when Rayan rushed over with a large group of

Thalia tsked and looked impatient.
Rayan grabbed her wrist and asked through gritted teeth.
"What are you doing here? Who are you here to see?"
"Let go. You are hurting me."
"You don't want to tell me? Alright, I'll go and kill that man," Rayan said as he narrowed his eyes
dangerously.
"Rayan, are you crazy" Thalia roared at the top of her lungs.
The people passing by all looked at them.
Rayan felt embarrassed. He pulled Thalia back to the car.
"Speak!"
"What kind of tone is that? Do I need to report to you everything I have done?"
Thalia took out her lipstick to fix her makeup with disdain. She did not take Rayan's anger to heart.
However, Rayan did not dare to do anything to her.
"Thalia, remember this. You are my woman. I can tolerate your mistakes,
but there is a limit to my patience!"
"What? It's not like you want to be with me because you really like me. Why pretend?" Thalia laughed
mockingly.
"We will get married sooner or later, and you will be in the Biddell family.
Please pay attention to your words and actions."
"Rayan, I made it clear a long time ago." Thalia rolled her eyes in
annoyance. "I am okay with marriage and acts, but you can't control me. We
can be with anyone we want in private."
"You..." Rayan was so angry that he didn't know what to say. He just stepped
on the accelerator with a sullen face.
"We will attend the banquet together tomorrow night. You should make preparations."
"Got it."
Thalia responded perfunctorily, but she was thinking about another person.
The banquet held by the Niebergall Group was grand, and everyone present was upper-class. It was
like a vanity fair.
Alexa held Terrence's hand as they walked in. Irvin immediately brought a group of guests over to greet
them.
"Mr. Ramsey, Ms. Duran, it's been a long time." Irvin's smile was insincere. Alexa sized him up calmly.
The palm print on Irvin's face had disappeared, but he was much thinner than before, and his eyes
were gloomier.
He heard the Niebergall family refused to accept him back, which was why
he came to New York.
Alexa smiled elegantly, not affected by his sarcasm at all.
"Mr. Niebergall, you look better now. I think you have just recovered from a serious illness.
Congratulations."
When Irvin thought of the slaps Alexa had given him, rage rose in his heart.
But when he looked at Alexa, the coldness around Terrence increased.
They were confronting each other with feigned harmony when a
commotion suddenly came from the entrance of the venue.
Everyone was attracted to it.
Finley was dressed in an expensive and formal custom-made suit, and
there was a young lady with him.
Alexa's eyes flashed with surprise and joy.
At the same time, Rayan and Thalia also entered the venue.
When Thalia saw the woman next to Finley, the fake smile on her face
instantly disappeared.
She ignored the people taking photos and shook Rayan's hand off, walking
away.
Alexa and Terrence saw all that.
They looked at each other and walked to Finley and the others.
"Dr. McMillan, who is this?"
Alexa extended her hand and smiled kindly at the girl.
The girl clutched her skirt, obviously a little shy, but she beat Finley to it.
"My name is Josina Hall. I am a colleague of Dr. McMillan at the research institute. Recently, I have
been studying in New York."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAlthough they were colleagues, she looked much younger than Finley, as if
she was fresh out of college.
Alexa looked at them with subtle inquiry, which made the young woman a
little embarrassed.
Noticing that, Terrence quickly found an excuse to take Alexa away.
"Don't you think it's not that simple?" Alexa's eyes lit up.
"That girl's face is red."
Terrence was not dumb, so he could notice that.
"It's amazing. Dr. McMillan actually likes someone."
"How is that weird?" Terrence could not help but laugh. "He is outstanding,
so many girls would like him."
Alexa kept talking about Finley.
Terrence drank some champagne and said coldly.
"It doesn't taste good."
"What? Let me try it."
Alexa naturally took his glass and took a small sip.
"It's delicious," she said honestly.
"It's sour."
Terrence commented and quickly changed the subject so that she wouldn't
talk about Finley.
After Finley and Josina entered the venue, they found a relatively quiet
place to wait.
Finley was not here to talk about business. He just wanted to see Alexa.
"Dr. McMillan, I have to go to the bathroom."
"Okay, I'll wait for you here."
This was the first time Josina had attended a dinner party with Finley, so
she paid extra attention to her appearance.
As soon as she entered the bathroom, she immediately stood in front of
the mirror to fix her makeup.
Unexpectedly, a woman wearing a low-cut fishtail skirt appeared behind her
with a cold face.
Josina sensed the danger and silently moved aside.
But it seemed this woman wanted to talk to Josina.
