Chapter 385 Exposing Scandals
The two stopped before her, and the man asked, "Are you Miss Dillon, the highest person in charge of
Knowlit?"
"Yes," Amelie responded calmly, her gaze falling on the two.
They were dressed very plainly, and their social status was not high.
"Please let me participate in your advanced management training camp," the woman pleaded urgently.
"I know that I'm not good enough, but I want to improve!"
After speaking, she looked at Amelie with a thirst for knowledge.
Amelie smiled, invited the two back to the reception room, personally poured them coffee, and sat
across from them.
"We administer an exam for our training camp to select the appropriate candidates for the course. The
two of you did not pass our exam, so even if you attend the training camp, there's a possibility that you
might not comprehend it and end up wasting your money. It's advisable to opt for the relatively basic
low-level management training camp, which has significantly lower fees and will be more beneficial for
you."
"Do you think we can't afford the tuition fees? Don't worry. We won't be short on money," the man said.
The woman nodded. "We can pay the tuition fees immediately!"
After speaking, she opened her bag and took out a card.
"Although we don't earn a lot, we value learning very much. No matter how expensive it is, we must
learn!"
After speaking, she handed the card over with both hands.
Seeing the two of them like this, Gladys could only shrug helplessly at Amelie.
Amelie smiled and pushed the card away. "I know you value learning, but you must not rush things.
Take it slow."
"Yes, it's not just you—even we would start with the low-level courses before learning something new."
Gladys chimed in and said, "We have an obligation to our students."
"Alternatively, you may attend the low-level courses at no cost, and if you deem them appropriate, you
may enroll." Amelie politely proposed. She showed that she would not consent to their demand to skip
levels.
"We still want to listen to the advanced courses," the pair persisted. "Miss Dillon, we implore you to
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtfulfill our request. You are willing to permit us to try the low-level courses without cost, so why not
accept our payment for the advanced courses? Since you provide these courses to earn money, there's
no reason to reject our proposal."
Listening to their words, Gladys felt like rolling her eyes.
Do these individuals perceive our platform as another unscrupulous business where anything can be
obtained with money? If we only prioritized quantity over quality, our platform would have gone
bankrupt long ago.
"We have researched numerous platforms and heard that your courses are the most exceptional. We
must take your courses, no matter what it takes. If you do not allow us to participate in the advanced
training camp, we will not leave," exclaimed the woman as she sat on the chair in a fit of pique.
Amelie was a principled person and didn't compromise just because someone was upset. She nodded
at Gladys and said, "Give them more coffee and prepare some food."
After speaking, she turned around and walked out.
"Miss Dillon!" The woman panicked when she saw that Amelie was determined not to let them in.
She hastily ran over and desperately grabbed Amelie's hand. "I know you mean well, and everything
you do is for our benefit. But we haven't tried the course, so how do we know if it's unsuitable just yet?"
"Why don't you let us join and see? If we can't keep up, we'll leave without asking for a refund,"
interjected the man as he stood behind them.
Upon hearing that, Amelie looked at the pair.
Gladys approached and suggested in a low voice, "Perhaps we should allow them to give it a try. They
seem very committed to joining the training camp and turning them away wouldn't be fair. We could let
them pay for the time they've attended the class."
The two of them softened Gladys' heart.
Amelie looked at the two for a moment. "I won't change my mind, but I'll allow you to attend the class
for two days as visitors. Gladys, give them a visitor pass."
"Okay!" Gladys had a gleam in her eyes as she looked at Amelie with an admiring gaze.
Amelie is a person with principles and a kind heart. Even though she knows the two of them are
unsuitable, she still wants to give them a chance to broaden their horizons.
After giving her instructions, Amelie finally pulled her hand away and turned to leave.
"What does she mean?" The two of them didn't understand Amelie's intention and turned to look at
Gladys.
Gladys smiled and said, "Amelie is kind enough to allow you to attend the class as visitors, and you'll
save on two days of tuition fees."
Their training camp was high quality, and the price was not cheap either. Two days of tuition fees was a
large sum for ordinary people.
After returning to her office, Amelie started handling her work. She only came to the company for half a
day every day, and all her work had to be completed within that time frame. Thus, time was tight, and
the workload was heavy.
Not long after, Gladys walked in with a cup of freshly brewed coffee in her hands. The brown liquid was
steaming.
She placed the coffee gently on Amelie's side. Amelie's eyes were fixed on the computer screen, her
fingers typing away at the keyboard. Without lifting her head, Amelie asked, "Have they left?"
Gladys put down the coffee and was about to leave when Amelie asked her a question. Gladys nodded
quickly and replied, "Yes, they left. You're really smart. Instead of wasting time trying to convince them
to enroll in a lower-level course, you let them try it out for two days. They'll leave sooner or later if they
can't grasp the material."
Amelie was slightly stunned.
Then, she picked up the cup and brought it to her lips. She said, "Don't forget their visitor pass."
"Okay," replied Gladys before walking out cheerfully.
Amelie was busy all morning and barely had time for lunch. She usually did her live streaming in the
afternoon.
During this time, Steven found a group of peers from Capland to learn yoga. Amelie wanted him to stay
focused, so she usually ate lunch outside.
Julia's phone call came as she finished eating and was wiping her mouth.
"Hello, Jules."
"Elie, are you going to do a live stream later? Listen to me, don't do it today!" Julia said nervously and
seriously.
"What happened?"
"I don't know who exposed your real identity and even… exposed your scandal." Julia was so angry
that she couldn't control herself.
Amelie was slightly stunned.
After a moment, she quickly took out another phone and opened the news page.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmFinding her name on the trending topic didn't take much effort.
'Miss Foxy's identity now exposed, tied to a well-known businessman.'
'The positive image of Miss Foxy has collapsed, exposed to have shared a bed to force a marriage.'
'How shameless is a woman who uses her child to climb the social ladder? Insiders talk about Miss
Foxy.'
'The true colors of the super internet celebrity with a hundred million fans.'
Several titles appeared in a row, ranked from fifth to tenth place, and they were quickly moving up to
the top. It wouldn't take long for them to reach the headlines.
Amelie looked at it and realized that it had only been an hour since the first post was published, but the
number of clicks had already exceeded one million. There were also thousands of comments.
"It seems like someone is trying to set you up," Julia said, trying to remain composed. "Given the size
of your fan base, trying to suppress the news won't work. It will only keep spreading. So, what should
we do?"
Julia had been managing Starlight Media for many years and had dealt with many difficult internet
celebrity scandals. But at this moment, she couldn't help feeling helpless.
Amelie's one million followers were enough to push the news to the top and burn her to ashes without
using any bot accounts.
How cruel!
After such a big incident, it was a lie to say that Amelie was not affected by it.
Amelie quickly scrolled through a few entries with her long fingers and read the articles at the fastest
speed possible.
The articles were similar and inferring that the same person had provided the information was not
difficult.
"Don't worry about it." She quickly calmed down and spoke.
"Why? How can you not worry about it? They will destroy you," Julia exclaimed anxiously, her eyes
welling up with tears. "Fans are a double-edged sword; they can lift you as quickly as they bring you
down. In this case, the other party clearly has ulterior motives. They've probably even arranged for
outsiders to stir up trouble."
"If that's what they want to do, let them do it. The situation is already beyond our control, and there's no
point in wasting more human or financial resources."
Julia had to admire Amelie's composure in this situation. If this happened to her, she would've probably
gone crazy.
"Have you figured out what to do next?" she asked weakly.
