silence, he said sternly, “All this for sfickle temptress! I've told you before. Nate doesn’t have a mother like
that, and | will never allow them to reunite! Yet, you insist on defying me! In my eyes, Gracia hasn't done
anything wrong! Her fan’s reckless act of hitting Natalie with a car is just a fan’s overzealousness. You can’t
place the blfor a fan’s blind action on Gracia’s shoulders! How is she at fault?
Besides, | didn’t press charges against Natalie for injuring Gracia, which is already the greatest act of mercy
toward Natalie! How much more do you expect Gracia to give? Gracia even pleaded withon Natalie's behalf,
insisting it wasn’t Natalie's fault! Are you willing to have everyone end up like your father just to defend
Natalie?!”
Mentioning Brian's father, Kenneth, plunged the room into a heavy silence.
The butler and the servants stood by, hardly daring to breathe.
