Maia paused before pressing the elevator button and stepping into it. She kept her head down and did not look at him as the
elevator went up.

“I’ll keep it for you for now, then.” Maia folded the agreements and tucked them away.
“Here are today’s emails.” Cedric handed her his tablet. Maia took it and went upstairs without a word. According to the rules,
she would sleep in the master bedroom while he would sleep in the study.
They did not want to rouse any suspicion. So, Cedric would go upstairs after all the servants. were back in their rooms.
Maia read the hundreds of emails swiftly once she was in the master room. One–third of them were about “The Quest“. It was

It was already half past eight when she woke up. She opened her eyes and looked around drowsily. Somehow, it felt strange and

That was weird. She clearly remembered falling asleep on the couch. How did she get into the

She opened the bedroom door. She could hear loud noises coming from downstairs even if she was on the third floor.

“I know what the rules are too! Your evaluation is so on point, Ms. Maia! Mr. Cedric’s eyes are practically glued on you for the
entire show!” Oswald had to smile.
Maia knew Oswald would talk about Cedric again if she let him. She cut him off and said cheerfully, “I’m a little hungry, Oswald.”
“Geez. I forgot about that. Hold on, Ms. Maia. I’ll prepare dinner for you!”
