Errol watched as Cedric left. Then, he stared at the pack of cigarettes on the bench and smiled. He had to admit that men shared
an unspoken language sometimes. A pack of cigarettes would help alleviate his uncase.

She nodded and said affectionately, “I have. Were you able to rest? Why do you look so worn out?”

She waved at Celia. “Get some rest. I’m going to leave now that your boyfriend is here. I’ll visit you again soon.

“That’s right.” Cedric answered and said, “Errol told me that Tess said she’ll take matters into her own hands if he doesn’t break
up with Celia.”
“Why, though? Why would she do that? Are you telling me she did what she did to Celia just because Errol wouldn’t marry the
CEO’s daughter? That seems a little far–fetched.
“It’s certainly going to help the winery’s logistics if Errol had married her, but she can’t subject Celia to such a horrible fate simply
because of that!”
Maia could not put her finger on it. She asked Cedric again before he could say anything, What else did he tell you?”
“He also said that Tess is the type of person who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.”
Maia’s frown deepened. “Is she trying to control Errol’s life? Does she intend to take over both Starlight Entertainment and
Burgess Winery?”
Maia was horrified. If what she had guessed was true, then Tess had done a good job at hiding her true colors.
