“Go on.” Cedric instructed coldly.
The executive managers of different departments continued to brief Cedric with their daily reports.
Baz stood aside and tried to hide his laughter. He could imagine how they felt as it was unusual for Cedric to smile so happily.
When the meeting came to an end, Cedric looked at his staff members who were clearing up and ready to leave, “Are you
married?”
Everyone froze in their seats as the turned to him. One of the managers smiled at Cedric and replied, “Most of us are.”
“What are the traits of a good husband?” Cedric asked as his question surprised everyone in the room. Why is someone who
had the business industry at his beck and call asking them this question?
Baz, who was standing in the corner, was also taken aback by Cedric’s question. He really was doing everything he could to win
Maia back!
Someone commented. “Ahem. First, a man needs to have enough money to support his family!”
“I already have more than enough.“.
The person quickly piped down. Cedric was more than capable of earning money.
Seconds later, another person said, “You need to make sure that you’re able to share the house. chores with her. The moment
she gets home after work, you should hand her a glass of milk or juice and tell her to get some rest. Don’t let the kids bother her
too!”
“I already have housekeepers to do that.” As for kids, he wished they had one..
“Then, you should always be kind and loving to your wife. Make sure to treat her well, and most importantly be gentle!”
The executives present at the meeting quickly nodded their heads in unison.
“Anything else?”
“You need to be attentive enough to know about your wife’s needs. If you’re picking her up from work, you can’t just go empty–
handed. By the time she gets off work, she would. probably be hungry.

“You need to bring something that she likes as a snack! The devil is in the details!” Cedriced frown as he thought about it.
Moments later, he finally decided that it was enough and he told them to leave.
Most of them made a beeline for the door as Baz walked toward Cedric and asked, “Are we picking up Ms. Maia after work?”
Cedric nodded.
“Should we get her something to eat? What’s Ms. Maia’s favorite food?”
Cedric’s face fell. He did not know what her favorite food was! He cursed out loud and stomped out of the conference room.
Baz was left behind in shock. He was worried for his life, as he gently scratched his head in confusion.
“Wh–what did I say this time?”
When Maia got to Starlight Entertainment, she could hear her secretaries talking at the pantry.
“I’m sure she did it intentionally! She looked at the document I showed her and told me there was a mistake. She said that I
should ask the Research and Development department again, but I’ve double–checked with them! There were no mistakes!”
“I was also yelled at this morning. She kept claiming that her work desk was dusty, but I’ve cleaned it a few types. I’ve even
made sure of it! Her claims were just unreasonable!”
“Do you still remember the time when we brought up our late chairwoman? She instantly exploded and yelled at us. If it weren’t
for Ms. Maia siding with us, we would’ve been fired. already!”
Whenever things don’t go her way, she’d just yell at us!”
“I’ve sent her documents to other departments for review. The other executives were flabbergasted at what a mess they were in.”
“I just don’t understand why Ms. Maia would allow her to be the CEO. Even if she was Ms. Maia’s aunt, this was just ridiculous!
How could she allow someone so incompetent to lead the company?”
Maia briefly glanced at her staff standing around the pantry and acted like she did not hear a thing as she proceeded to her
office. She could hear her aunt yelling at someone.
“If you can’t do
can’t do your job, then you should just leave. So many people would do anything for a

“B–but this was already decided a while ago,” Paige reasoned politely.
“I don’t care what you’ve decided. I told you that I’m not going to approve this! Look at this trash! Why would our company waste
money on this? Who’s going to watch this dating program? No one cares about artists dating!” Tess yelled in frustration.
“These kinds of programs are really popular with young people. Additionally, the guest stars that agreed to join are a popular on–
screen couple.”
“I don’t care! I’ve already said no! Get out!” Tess pointed at the door and threw the documents on the floor.
Paige tried incessantly to persuade Tess. “It was the company’s decision to air this program. If we choose to cancel it now, all the
effort put into it will just go to waste. These participants are very famous artists, and it took a lot of effort to get them to appear on
our show.”
“Did you not hear what I said? I told you to get out! How dare you tell me what to do! If I wanted, I could fire you anytime! I’m
sure Maia wouldn’t say a thing!”
Maia decided that it was enough as she entered the room. She could see Paige picking up the documents that were tossed all
over the floor.
Maia quickly walked over to help her. She noticed that the documents were about the program that they had agreed to produce
last week. Why make a fuss about it now? What game was Tess trying to play?
