Everyone was still chatting animatedly when the footage enlarged and Ace's face
appeared. He looked dejected as if he had aged overnight. It was only after a long pause
that he mumbled, "I've been busy with my company all these years and have gotten used
to chasing after wealth and profit, caring very rarely for my son. I even used unsavory
measures to be able to collaborate with the Snows even when my son clearly refused to
do so. I didn't think it would rebound on me, as my son has returned everything I gave him
in a fit of anger. That was when I knew I had hurt him. I'm not fit to be a father. I just want
him to come back. Nathan, please come home. You can love whomever you want and do
anything you want. Just don't be angry with me."
He lowered his head as his eyes turned misty. It was a touching scene.

his company, though he should have gotten Nathan's permission. It is somewhat

today. It's as if some strange force is pushing this entire thing. Just think about it.'
Everyone began making guesses, with some suspecting that Nathan had evidence which
forced them into apologizing. Some even said that it probably wasn't just evidence but
also some sort of weakness. Several more intelligent ones had already guessed that
Eugene had stepped in too, or the group wouldn't have apologized publicly.
Everyone began to extrapolate from the different claims and elaborated with so much
detail that it seemed they had witnessed everything themselves.
Among the many voices discussing the issue, one of them suddenly spilled the beans. 'It
was Eugene. He not just forced them to apologize publicly online, but also caused Ace and
his wife to get divorced. They're divorced now.'
The comment became the top one soon enough. Everyone could understand if Eugene's
interference resulted in the online public apology since the four of them were in the
wrong, after all. There was nothing wrong with him standing up for his nephew, and many
would merely think how scary capitalism could be. However, causing Ace and his wife to
divorce each other was going one step too far. After all, it was their relationship and no
outsider should get involved.
Olivia frowned after reading the comment. "These netizens are all talking rubbish. His
sister asked for a divorce of her own volition. What does that have to do with Eugene?"

Halma became strangely worried as she muttered, "Is it some sort of web brigade? More
of those comments are showing up."
Olivia didn't answer and picked up her phone to call Eugene instead.
Meanwhile, Eugene had had a two-hour meeting where he spoke so much his mouth had
dried up. He was so busy that he hadn't had time to drink any water before dragging his
tired body back to his office. Seeing the heap of files on the table, he sighed and rubbed
his aching head before going in. Even if he didn't want to deal with it, he had no choice.
His phone suddenly vibrated, and he picked it up to see that Olivia had called him. He
seemed to relax completely and smiled before taking the call. "Darling."
Olivia was about to ask about the issue with the live stream when she heard the tiredness
in his voice and quickly asked, "What happened?"
"It's nothing. I just had a two-hour-long meeting and my throat is parched."
A concerned look appeared in her eyes. "Ask Curtis to get you some throat lozenges. Don't
worry about it. Don't tire yourself out. We can spare a few more days here before
returning."
He chuckled, his exhaustion apparently gone. See? My wife is showing concern for me!
